The matrices for the Grade Level Expectations (GLE) appear as single-page documents. Each page lists the GLEs for the Comprehensive Guidance Program Strands -- Personal and Social Development, Academic Development, and Career Development -- by grade level. The grade level divisions are: Elementary, K-2 and 3-5; Middle School/Junior High, 6-8; and High School, 9-12; thus, on a single page, the reader will be able to view the GLEs for each Big Idea/CG Content Standard by grade level.

Format of Matrices:

Columns:
The FIRST column of each matrix identifies the K-12 concepts; the remaining columns list the GLEs for a specific grade level (e.g., GLE K = GLEs for Kindergarten; GLE 1 = GLEs for grade 1). ALL GLEs are coded as "ai" for ease of electronic access to materials. This is parallel to the other content areas, some of which have more than one GLE per concept, per grade level.
Rows:
The rows represent the developmental sequence of the Concepts via the GLEs for each 12th grade outcome.

Reading down the columns of EACH matrix provides a bird’s eye view of all GLEs for a single grade level.

Reading across the rows of ALL matrices provides a bird’s eye view of the K-12 sequential development of knowledge, skill and understanding for each 12th grade outcome.
