Experts continue to expect strong growth in the health care industry, anticipating about 16% of new wage and salary jobs created through 2012 will be in health services.
Ten of the 20 fastest growing occupations are concentrated in health services, and information from MERIC continues to show that across all communities, health care occupations are among those with the highest ratings for income and growth. Students should be aware that jobs in the field go beyond health care providers.
