Gender Equity Lessons Posted
Recently posted to the MCCE website: A collection of about 30 sample lessons for elementary students on gender equity in careers.
New Modules for Exploring Career Clusters
Two modules were added to the Exploring Career Clusters curriculum over the summer: Health Science and Human Services. There are now modules for 8 of the 16 Career Clusters in the curriculum guide for a semester-long course focusing on career exploration through hands-on activities and career searches.
Exploring Career Clusters Featured at Conference
The Exploring Career Clusters curriculum guide developed by the Missouri Center for Career Education over the past three years will be featured at an upcoming TEAM Conference at the University of Central Missouri on October 13. Presentations will introduce the Exploring Career Clusters model, as well as an assessment tool for the curriculum developed by MCCE last year and implemented in cooperation with MissouriConnections.org. Dr. Mike Grelle, a nationally-recognized assessment specialist, will speak during the opening address and a concurrent session in the afternoon.
Blog Available for Mentoring Program
A new tool to help participants in the statewide career education mentoring program has been added: a mentoring blog. This blog will allow participants to post questions to a group of experienced educators or find information and announcements about the program in one place.
