2008 NTI Summer Session

"Survival Skills for Teaching"

The New Teacher Institute is open to all new career educators, both secondary and postsecondary. The 2008 NTI summer session will concentrate on the following areas:

the teaching process,
classroom management,
safety in the instructional setting,
legal issues,
responsibilities beyond teaching,
the Missouri career education teacher mentoring program,
and other topics addressed in follow-up sessions.

Sunday, July 27 to Friday, August 1

The 2008 New Teacher Institute summer session will be one week, beginning the evening of Sunday, July 27. Subsequent call-back sessions will be scheduled in the fall of 2008.

Location: University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO

Professional learning activities will be held in the Elliott University Union on the campus of the University of Central Missouri. A block of rooms has been reserved for participants at local hotels. All lodging and meal arrangements will be managed by MCCE and the New Teacher Institute program.

NTI Registration Fee - $240

Payment of the New Teacher Institute registration fee ($240 per teacher) is the responsibility of the employing institution or school district. Payment may be made by check or purchase order and should accompany the completed registration form. Both the payment and registration form should be mailed to:
