The New Teacher Institute is a cooperative venture by the Missouri Center for Career Education, University of Central Missouri and Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Division of Career Education to prepare new career education teachers.
Staff of NTI, MCCE and DESE's Division of Career Education are assisted with supervision and support of NTI participants by Master Teachers throughout the state of Missouri. Master Teachers are trained through a separate Master Teacher Institute to assume the role of a teacher educator. They are selected to offer NTI participants a variety of technical experience, general teaching experience from both secondary and postsecondary levels, and regional accessibility throughout the state.
Master Teachers receive a stipend for their role in the program, and the New Teacher Institute leadership is always seeking qualified, experienced teachers to fill these highly important positions.
